A warm welcome is expected from the agricultural industry for a raft of six new products from Orion Crop Protection.
“We find the rural trade and end users appreciate having the choice of different product options,” says Murray Hern, Orion Crop Protection general manager.
“Our customers are always asking for new products. It is great to respond with not just one but a several new product choices.”
The latest product releases from Orion Crop Protection include:
-
Astound Ultra - a herbicide containing 40 g per litre nicosulfuron with adjuvant oil included in the formulation. It provides the same reliable post-emergent weed control in maize as Astound flo but it has the added convenience of the adjuvant oil pre-mixed in the formulation, Hern says.
-
Megawet - an adjuvant containing a combination of organosilicone and organic fluids. Megawet improves the spreading and deposition of contact insecticides and fungicides. “Along with increased performance Megawet also saves on application costs as its use allows the normal water rate per hectare to be lowered.”
-
Diazinon 600EW - a new oil in water emulsion formulation containing 600 g per litre diazinon. For use on pasture and forage brassicas, Diazinon 600EW is effective on a wide range of pests.
-
Element - a herbicide for fodder brassicas containing a combination of 150 g per litre picloram and 225 g per litre clopyralid. Murray Hern says Element is very soft on the crop and controls a range of weeds in fodder brassicas.
-
Quasar - a herbicide containing 200 g per litre bentazone and 200 g per litre MCPB. Quasar has both contact and systemic action to control a wide range of weeds in new pastures, peas, clover and cereals
-
Panther - a selective herbicide containing 69 g per litre fenoxaprop-P-ethyl. Panther S controls wild oats and lesser canary grass in wheat and perennial ryegrass seed crops.
