Marketing manager Nick Koch says the lucky recipients weren’t the only ones who were pleased with how the company’s See
The Boss promotion for Tordon PastureBoss finished up.
“We’re very pleased with the response; it resulted in a nice increase in sales and the campaign itself drew a lot of attention so that’s always good.”
The winners were drawn under supervision in New Plymouth, and are all from the North Island.
Two purchased their qualifying Tordon Pasture Boss packs from RD1 (Lorraine Olding See The Boss a summer
sales winner of Rotorua and Diarmid Somerville of Taupo) while the third bought his from Farmlands (Roger Landers of Hawera).
As well as two VIP tickets to see Bruce Springsteen, they each received accommodation, access to hospitality events before
and after the concert and transport to and from the event.
Nick Koch says it was a nice spin on the ‘send weeds into hiding’ theme that the company has used to support sales of the broadleaf herbicide into the spot spraying pasture market in recent years.
“The basic message is still the same – Tordon PastureBoss is clearly the product of choice when it comes to getting rid of broadleaf weeds in established pasture – and having The Boss himself in New Zealand was too good a promotional opportunity to pass up. Bruce Springsteen is a much loved, reliable performer - much like Tordon PastureBoss.”
