The change paves the way for the business to expand into other agricultural market sectors.
“The Orion business has established a strong foundation in crop protection but it has recently launched into the animal health market,” says general manager Murray Hern.
The changes reflect the new direction under the new ownership of Singaporean company Zagro. Zagro has subsidiaries in Australia and a number of South East Asian countries.
Their business activities include crop protection, crop nutrition, animal health and nutrition.
“Having developed a successful model in the crop protection market we see opportunities to expand this success beyond crop
protection,” Hern says.
“The new company name Orion AgriScience provides the umbrella under which the business can grow and prosper.
“With Zagro as our parent company we are focussing on further strengthening the business with a variety of improvements that link into Zagro’s expertise in such things as procurement, formulation, quality control and registrations.”
The new company name, logo, product labels and other branded materials will be rolled out from in the coming months.
Hern says while the name and livery are changing, customers can expect the same helpful service that has always been the hallmark of the Orion business.
